Im Jahr 2014 hörte ich erstmalig von der schwedischen Proegressive Rock Band A.C.T. Das Album „Circus Pandemonium“ ist bis heute das letzte Studiowerk. Beim Ersthören habe ich das recht schnell in die Ecke „Jahrmarktsmucke“ geschoben, was ein großer Fehler war. Das Album war auf meinem USB-Stick fürs Auto und lief somit immer wieder mal. Und nach und nach habe ich mich für diese Musik begeistert. Ich bin ja eh ein Fan von melodischem Prog. Und hier gibt es wunderschöne epische Hooklines. Eine gewisse Nähe zu „theatralischer“ Musik a la Queen oder Electric Light Orchestra ist grundsätzlich vorhanden. Was ja nichts negatives sein muss. Die Musik ist klasse arrangiert, schöne Gitarrensoli sind auch dabei ….. und das ist jetzt schon 5 Jahre her. Aber bald hat das Warten ein Ende. Ende Maärz escheint endlich was neues von A.C.T. Und ich hab da schon reinhören können. Und alles oben genannte wird auch im Jahr 2019 erfüllt. Das ist wieder sowas von geil ! Allerdings gibt es auch einen Wehrmutstropfen. Es handelt sich nämlich um eine EP mit grade mal 5 Tracks mit 22 Minuten Spieldauer ….. naja, muss man die halt zweimal hintereinander auflegen 😉

By the first hearing I have pushed rather fast in the corner „fair midge“ what was a big mistake. The album was on my USB-Stick for car and ran therefore once again. And bit by bit I have been enthusiastic about this music. I am anyhow a fan of melodic Prog. And here there are wonderful epic Hooklines. A certain nearness to more „theatrically“ music a la Queen or Electric Light Orchestra basically exists. What nothing must be the negative. The music is arranged first-class, nice guitar solo work also, besides….. and now this is already 5 years ago. But the waiting soon has an end. At the end of March, finally, something new from A.C.T. And I have already listenend to it. And all abovementioned is also fulfilled in 2019. This is some real cool stuff! Indeed, there is also a military courage drop. It concerns because EP with just 5 tracks with 22-minute play duration….., well, one must put on them just twice 😉
